Abdi Gas Featured In British Deaf News
Published: Jun 2nd, 2014
Our CEO Abdi Gas has been interviewed and featured in this month’s British Deaf News, the British Deaf Association’s magazine for their members. He is featured on the front cover and the interview discusses the Deaf Career’s Fair.
After the success of the Deaf Careers Fair, we are looking into ways to engage employers and the deaf community with each other – to find ways to offer deaf and hard of hearing people the training they need and to enhance their skills. We are also looking for people to become involved in our projects – our Deaf Role Models Project and the Deaf Learners Project.
Deaf Unity is for all of us – it is what you make of it, so please get in touch if you would like to be involved – running projects, creative partnerships, getting experience with editing, leadership or community engagement – let us know what you would like to be involved with.
If you’d like a copy of this month’s BDN magazine, please get in touch with the BDA.
