Accessible Charity Variety Show ‘RAD Live’ is not to be missed!

Sunday 19 January 2020, 7pm – Rose Theatre, Kingston

With a huge variety of acts, from dance to magic, comedy and music, featuring deaf and disabled performers, RAD Live is the perfect family friendly, accessible show that is not to be missed!

The Royal Association for Deaf people’s (RAD) first ever Variety Show, RAD Live is more than just a charity event… It is an exciting, inclusive evening of entertainment, bringing together people of all ages, D/deaf, deafblind, CODA and disabled to celebrate the incredible and diverse talent the stars have to offer.

This must-see show will be hosted by Scarlette Douglas – presenter on Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’, and reporter for BBC’s The One Show and Points of View. With knowledge of sign language up to Level 6 standard, Scarlette is ready and excited to host our evening.

The fantastic lineup features names such as magician MADDOX, ‘one of the most sought after illusionists’ who is set to perform an unforgettable magical experience leaving the audience astounded and amazed.

The show will see expressive visual numbers from Deaf dancer Chris Fonseca and The London Dance Company, as well as belly-aching laughter from comedians Ray Bradshaw (CODA) and Romina Puma, who are set to share their hilarious sketches with the audience.

Signkid and Fletch@, both leading Deaf Sign Song Performers and Wayne Barrow (CODA) who has a hearing loss himself, will be performing, together with a duet song from Fletch@ and Wayne, all demonstrating the beauty and magnificence of sign language.

Pop-soul singer Mullally will make an appearance performing his original songs, having supported some of the biggest names in music including Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Anne Marie and more.

Comedic Juggler and Saxophone duo Ryan Murphy and Maia Ayling complete the lineup, with more names to be announced soon.

The evening will be accessible for all, with British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters and live captioning from our partners, Stagetext. Wheelchair users are welcome, with accessible spaces in the auditorium.

Sue Mountford, Joint Chief Executive of the Royal Association for Deaf people shares her excitement:

“It is such a great privilege to be hosting RAD Live in January 2020 – an incredible event with very talented artists. We hope the evening is a huge success and look forward to enjoying the performances with you.”
