What is the course about?
This course is suitable if you have enough vocabulary to be able to read and write basic sentences. During this course, you will learn more vocabulary and grammar to help you talk, read and write about yourself, your family and friends and complete forms, short sms and e-mails. This course has no exams.

This is a live online course. You will need:
– Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
– A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don’t have a computer.
– Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will we cover?
You will learn English for everyday life and work. You will practice reading, writing and BSL conversational skills. You will practice asking and answering basic questions in present simple, present continuous (and common past simple forms) about simple everyday topics and personal information. You will talk about simple everyday topics for a short time e.g. the home, family life, friends. You will describe objects and pictures using simple adjectives. You will practice writing short simple sentences about people and things using present simple, continuous and past simple. You will write short simple notes, messages, emails and letter to family or friends. You will practice using capital letters, question marks and full stops and writing clearly. You will practice finding information in notices, simple adverts, forms and texts. You will learn a lot of basic vocabulary and the spelling.
