Positive Signs Job Description

Part time Bookings Coordinator  22.5 hours weekly. We are seeking a part -time Communication Bookings Coordinator to be responsible for managing all bookings aspects of Positive Signs services, including training, communication and employment support.

Responsibilities Reporting to Positive Signs Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of service provision for training, supporting Access to Work clients for British Sign Language (BSL)/English Interpreters & language service professionals. You will regularly liaise with clients, service users and government departments to support clients (Access to Work – AtW).

You will deal with all booking requests from Deaf and hearing customers via telephone, email, SMS, video calls, and face-to-face meetings, arranging appointments and managing the diaries of in-house and freelance sign language communication professionals. Key responsibilities include: Manage our service provision for AtW related bookings. This is a smaller area of our business, which we intend to grow. ? Lead on administration for all clients, requesters and their bookings. ? Liaise with clients, requesters and employers on all contractual processes and paperwork ? Work with Positive Signs Management to resolve any issues.  Work with employers to grow our client base, following up leads. ? Respond in a timely manner to a high volume of requests for language service professional bookings.

Accurately capture all booking details and transfer to our booking system with Interpreter Intelligence ? Allocate and confirm assignments with interpreters / language service professionals. ? Resolve queries from clients, service users and interpreters. ? Build and maintain excellent relationships with AtW personnel, clients, interpreters and service users to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty to Positive Signs. Manage our service provision for bookings from private clients and businesses that do not fall under the above in line with the steps above. Manage the financial functions of these services, including raising invoices, maintaining income and expenditure spreadsheets, and producing service activity statistics. This role operates on 20 hours as required, ideally an 8 am start daily, plus extra time in response to enquiries. You will be home-based three days a week, with two days a week in the Brentwood office.

A hands-on approach to confidently manage the day-to-day duties of this role.

Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Familiar or willingness to be trainer on the bookings database

Interpreter Intelligence

Educated to A-Level English, or equivalent. ? Ideally, you will hold a minimum or can sign to Signature Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language is required and have a good knowledge / background of the communication needs of Deaf people.
