Consultants Roster

DeafKidz International (DKI) was founded by Steve Crump, deaf himself, in 2013 after witnessing the appalling abuse suffered by deaf children in conflict-affected areas of sub-Saharan Africa. DeafKidz International seeks to address the vital gaps in meeting the safeguarding and protection needs of deaf children and reducing risk and vulnerability while supporting deaf children, young people and adults to lead their fullest lives ensuring equal and rightful access to health, education and employment as their hearing peers.

We are creating a roster of suitable international candidates for providing fixed-term expert consultancy services within the remit of our organisational objectives and the scope of our planned 2020-23 programmatic activities. This is an exciting opportunity for interested candidates with relevant experience to be added to our roster of pre-vetted consultants, ensuring quick contracting and deployment when suitable opportunities arise.

The areas of expertise sought are:

  1. Child protection and safeguarding
  2. Gender-based Violence
  3. Deaf Awareness Training
  4. Ear and Hearing Care; Education
  5. Economic Independence
  6. Assessments, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.

Once selected to be on the roster, the successful roster candidates will be matched against the terms and requirements of specific consultancies, when they arise. There is no remuneration for inclusion and retention on the roster. The consultants will need to inform DeafKidz International of any change in their circumstances, once included on the roster.
