Location: Coventry
Salary: £17,490 pro-rata per annum
Hours: Part time, 30 hours per week

Fixed term contract until 31st March 2023

We are recruiting for an Enablement Officer with excellent BSL Level 2 skills to join our Enablement Service working in Coventry to support adults in the community who have a sensory loss (hearing loss, sight loss, deaf, deafblind and dual sensory loss) to help them improve their health and wellbeing and to achieve independence and resilience.

As part of the role, you will provide an Enablement service by following individual support plans linked to outcomes, carrying out contact assessments/risk assessments working with the individuals, their families/carers to provide a high quality person-centred support.

To be successful for this post, you will have experience in holding a varied and complex caseload, working with service users carrying out contact assessments/risk assessments keeping accurate detailed case recordings and statistics, and have a good working knowledge of safeguarding as well as effective communications skills, excellent British Sign Language to a Level 2 standard.

It is essential that you have effective administrative and I.T. skills, a vehicle available for work and a flexible positive attitude.
