Support Worker

It’s an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, we now have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service in Exeter.

We’re seeking to recruit a Support Worker on a full or part time basis with contracts available with weekly hours up to 37.5 hours per week. We normally work 7 hour shifts and the times are usually 8am – 3pm, 3 – 10pm.

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support at our residential service are individuals and they are all treated as such. As a general guide, you may support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.

As a Support Worker, you will be assisting with personal care and in adition to this you’ll support our residents to do the activities they enjoy; this might include shopping, swimming, going to the beach, or a local football match. We also love our trips; previously we supported individuals to go to Dorset, Cornwall, and even abroad to Lanzarote! We are in Exeter City Centre so very close to all amenities with easy public transport links.

You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need care qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker, we will provide you with all the training you may require. Above all we want someone that shares in our values.
