This course is designed to equip learners with the skills to communicate with Deaf people using British Sign Language in a range of everyday contexts. Whilst Level 1 was focused on giving and receiving short pieces of information, Level 2 is focused on longer and more open-ended exchanges. You will learn how to talk about real life scenarios and routines.
Level 2 is split into three units which can be taken separately. The first unit assesses the students’ receptive skills with a multiple choice examination. The second unit is focused on production, requiring a learner to produce a short presentation. The third unit looks at the student’s conversational skills. To achieve the full Level 2 Award in British Sign Language candidates must pass all units.
