StammerMouth: CHOO CHOO!

Event start date Sep

2024

Get onboard the runaway train in this playful and interactive show exploring intrusive thoughts and OCD.

‘What if you hurt Duncan? What if you did? I bet you could. I bet you could do it. I bet you will.’

CHOO CHOO! (Or Have You Ever Thought About Pushing Someone Off a Train Platform (‘Cos I Have)) is a show about a misunderstood condition, told by people who know a bit about it.

Silly and surreal, it’s an insight into obsessive compulsive disorder, in equal measures very funny and profoundly moving.

The show was a recipient of The Scotsman’s Fringe First Award in 2023 and The Mental Health Foundation Award in 2023.

StammerMouth is the creative alias for Nye Russell-Thompson and was born out of the
necessity for people to understand how it feels to have a stammer, through self-aware deflective humour, stark minimalism, and audience participation.
