Sign Solutions are passionate about ensuring that Deaf and hard of hearing people have access to products, services and work under the Equality Act 2010.

Through provision of ATW (Access to Work) advice, in-person interpreting as well as instant/pre-booked video interpretation via their 24/7/365 InterpretersLive! video interpreting service, Deaf people are able to communicate anytime and anywhere and interacting equally with hearing colleagues and customers.

InterpretersLive! is easily accessed via computer, tablet or phone and launches a live video call to a waiting British Sign Language Interpreter, who interprets the conversation in real time. Interpreters are usually funded via Access to Work at no cost to the employer.

Sigh Solutions are highly experienced in supporting organisations to attract, recruit and retain Deaf employees, through enabling effective communication, provision of Deaf Awareness Training and BSL Translations.

STAART is a unique initiative at the University of Greenwich which supports disabled university learners from outreach through to employment and/or postgraduate qualifications. Much of the STAART support is provided by STAART Ambassadors and graduates, who are themselves disabled students. We provide webinars/workshops; have social media platforms; a quarterly e-newsletter with articles written by STAART member and allies and we have introduced a number of different mechanisms to continue supporting our members during the COVID pandemic. These include STAART ART activities and virtual events such as quizzes, birthday celebrations and a treasure hunt using Google Earth.
