Martine Monksfield, President at BATOD, shares lessons learned in deaf education from the British Association of Teachers of the Deaf. Topics Martine will cover include a history of deaf education in the UK and some interesting findings for how ToDs have managed in lockdown. Martine is a QToD, Deaf bilingual, and has had a cochlear implant since the age of 19. She is currently working as an Advisory Teacher of the Deaf for Haringey and Enfield. In addition to this, she is also President of BATOD, the sole professional association for Teachers of the Deaf in the UK.
