Grouped under: For Professionals

This is a resource which explains different categories of deafness and lots of useful teaching strategies and communication tactics that can be used by tutors and teachers within the seminars and lectures.

The resource then briefly explains about the use of technical support (recorders, radio microphones and loop systems) and human support (note-takers, lip-speakers, BSL interpreters and communication support workers) that can be used to aid the student’s learning. There is also information specifically about University of Leicester’s disability service called AccessAbility and further services they offer for deaf and hard of hearing students.
